HOW IS THE PROCESS AFTER THE PURCHASE?
After the purchase, you will receive an email from me as confirmation. Then, I start processing your purchase, e.g. packing, request customs and exporting documents, etc. As soon as the painting is ready for dispatch and the shipping has been booked, you will receive information from me with a tracking number so that you can track the shipment.
WHAT COUNTRIES CAN PAINTINGS BE SHIPPED TO?
My works can be sent to almost any country in the world. I work with an experienced service provider such as DHL Express, which delivers to most countries in the world and also organizes the customs handling.
IS MY NEW WORK "READY TO HANG"?
All of my paintings on stretcher bars are sent stretched. You can hang up this works directly after unpacking.
Larger paintings (e.g. 160 x 200 cm or more) are usually shipped rolled. They have to be re-stretched after unpacking. This can be done by a professional framing studio that also has the corresponding stretcher bars available.
Please note the corresponding information in the painting description or contact me before buying.
ARE THERE ADDITIONAL COSTS WHEN IMPORTING PAINTINGS INTO OTHER COUNTRIES?
Depending on the country in which the image is imported, additional costs may apply. There are also countries where art can be imported entirely without import taxes or up to a certain amount without taxes. Please clarify yourself at your customs authority.
If import taxes have to be paid, the service provider responsible for transport organizes this in coordination with customs, so that you can make the payment quickly and easily. Then the delivery takes place.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE THE PAINTING TO BE SEND AND ARRIVE?
As a rule, the painting usually is ready for dispatch after 1-2 days. The transport itself usually takes 10-14 business days for international shipments., but this can take longer if the customs clearance in the importing country is increased.
CAN I TRACK MY ORDER?
Sure, I will provide you with a tracking number for your order.
WHAT IF THE ARTWORK ARRIVES DAMAGED?
In the unlikely event of your artwork arriving damaged, you can either refuse the shipment or you can have the delivery company mark the shipment as ‘received damaged’. Please take photos of the damaged parcel and artwork and send them to mail@victoriadael.com I will provide you with the return address where to ship back the damaged artwork.
DO YOU ACCEPT COMMISSIONS?
Yes, I do, but please understand that I consider commissions on a case-by-case basis. If you have any favourites amongst my paintings, you can send me the titles or photos so I will know what kind of composition and colour palette you like. If you would like to discuss further, you can always contact me at mail@victoriadael.com
HOW MUCH DO YOU CHARGE FOR COMMISSIONED WORK?
I charge 25% more on top of my regular prices. For example, if the painting costs $1000, the commissioned work of the same dimensions will be $1000 + $250 (25%).The total price for the commissioned painting would be $1250.
IS THERE A DEPOSIT FOR COMMISSIONED WORK?
I ask for 50% non refundable deposit before I start to work on the painting.
CAN YOU MAKE A PAINTING WITH DIFFERENT DIMENSIONS FROM THE ONES OFFERED IN YOUR SHOP?
Yes, any dimension up to 200 cm (78 inch). If commissioned work needs to be larger than 200 cm (78’’) I can offer a diptych or a triptych. Please feel free to contact me for any questions you might have at mail@victoriadael.com
